Autumn is here… are you ready for the cooler weather and shorter days?
So here we are in October already. Autumn is here and I have to be honest it’s not my favourite season of the year. But I am enjoying it this year as much as I can… or at least I am trying.
September was the first month of my ‘Here and Now’ post series, so really wanted to give you a short summary of how my month went, what have I achieved and what did not work out as planned. I hope you enjoy this post.
Welcome to my reality
Firstly, I have to say sorry for the lack of posts here and my Instagram. But life simply happens… My full-time job totally took my whole energy the last couple of months. I haven’t realised that having both a full-time job and a side hustle is so hard to manage and I didn’t think how much effort I would need to put into running my blog. But it’s a time for a little change of perspective and a bit of good planning for better results.
So before we jump on to October plans lets summarise my September.
September was definitely a positive month
I completed my daily #positiveseptember photo challenge and I did quite well, I think. I managed to post something on my Instagram stories for each day and even a few of you joined me, including my sister who did really well herself too, despite she had a challenged September in her personal life. She managed to stay positive, so I’m proud of you sis.
But my Positive September challenge was only one thing I actually managed to fully accomplish last month. But instead, I did something I haven’t plan to do! I finally organise my kitchen and created pantry space. It just looks perfect now. I think this was something that it lacked in my little kitchen and my daily meal prepping and cooking got a bit overwhelmed for me at some point.
Here’s some photos of how it looks now. I’m sure you can tell that my favourite purchase in September was a label machine.
A bit about my Miracle Morning
Miracle Morning practice was sometimes I really wanted to work on during September, but my energy level was so low that month. I did a few days, I am not saying I haven’t done it at all, but waking up at 5 am every morning was simply not possible for me last month. I am a morning person, but I just couldn’t do it every day. I got a little lazy over summer I have to be honest, so the start of the day at 5 am sound like a crazy idea most of the days, unfortunately. I think I had set myself too big goals and too many for just one month, sometimes we cannot force ourselves to do things they would naturally come. It’s ok not to achieve all goals you set for yourself! We all should keep reminding this to ourselves from time to time. Of course, I am continuing this challenge in October, so there would be another update next month.
My biggest goal in life is to be simply happy and keep positive vibes every day. It doesn’t matter something was not fully accomplished, but we are on an ongoing journey of life. Let’s see whats October brings.
What’s inspired me in September
Here are a few things that inspired me last month. Please let me know what inspired you in September in the comment sections below?
‘Good vibes, good life’ book by Vex King
This book is more than I expected. A self-love book wroten by a male, I did not expect it to be that good, to be honest. I did not know Vex or followed him on social media, so I really did not know what to expect really. But after reading the book, it empowered and inspired me to change the way I think and speak about me. Self-love and law of attraction are topics I’m really interested in and his book is a great introduction to these. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who is starting their self-love journey.
‘Good vibes, good life’ book is just perfect in every bit, can fit to any handbag and looks beautiful (I love to take photos of it) and it would make a great gift for someone close to you.
I have so many favourite quotes in the book, Vex is amazing with making them rememberable. Here’s one I like the most:
‘Self-love is the balance between accepting yourself as you are while knowing you deserve better, and then working towards it.’
‘Strong like a Yogi’ challenge run by Justyna Połeć
Justyna is such a lovely and positive girl which I have been following on Instagram for a while now, but never before did her online Yoga classes or challenges. But I just thought it would be great to return to practising yoga after such a long break. And this challenge was so hard, I have to be honest, I didn’t think I am that unfit. Ohh well… I did a few days of yoga practice per week and I am slowly getting on to it again.
An amazing thing happening this month is her Shakti Yoga course. It’s starting on the 12th of October. She totally inspired me to join it and learn more about practising Yoga and its incredible impact to our life. I will definitely share my experience with you in next month post.
Favourite dish of the month
If I can even call it a dish… it was a Graze Platter I created last weekend and it was that good I am repeating it today again. Perfect weekend snacking platter and you can add simply anything to it what’s in the house or any leftovers you have in the fridge. In mine, I have hummus, olives, crackers, chicken breast, bread, figs, cucumbers, radishes, brie cheese, almonds, grapes, meats, pickled mushrooms. So it really can be anything on it and all taste so good.
Let’s do it, October!
So this month I am continuing my last month challenges. My Miracle Morning practise most days in a week and I want to concentrate a bit on better planning to create my goals a bit more achievable. But my biggest dream is to go for a holiday in the last week of October! …but we would see if it would be possible. We are definitely not planning anything as yet. We have to used to our lives in Covid times and live in a moment.
I hope you have an amazing October!
